Buy American Gold Eagles

First issued in 1986, the American Gold Eagle was the first gold bullion coin in the world to enter the gold market as a contender with the South African Krugerrand.  Struck in 22 karat gold (91.67%) like the Krugerrand, it portrays Augustus St. Gauden’s Striding Liberty design as found on the $20 gold coins that were the brainchild of President Theodore Roosevelt from 1907 to 1933.  The reverse shows a rendition of a family of eagles, done by Miley Busiek.
