The Silver Kangaroo struck by the Royal Australian Mint is the newest silver bullion coin to enter the ever increasing popular market of government bullion coins. The new Silver Kangaroo is struck in a fairly low relief style, with waves around the outer edges, with the lettering cutout in lower relief. There is even a hidden security privy mark – a small letter ‘A’ in the lower left leg of the ‘A’ in Australia (shown) for added protection from counterfeiting. The coin is even more stunning when seen in person, with its very fine edge reeding and in the way the coin looks differently depending on the angle you hold it. The premium for all of this is much lower than that of an American Silver Eagle, and it is even struck in .9999 fine silver to boot!
